Both plans include the core. Standard adds scale and the controls that need it.
Programmatic writes are Standard-only, default-off and separately approved because HR data deserves more than a feature toggle.

Standard bills every active employee, including the first 10. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
Free is available only while an organisation has 10 or fewer active employees. At 11 active employees, Standard is required and costs £22 per month, or £220 per year when annual billing is available. There is no headcount band jump: each additional active employee changes the monthly Standard price by £2.
Yes. A small team can stay on Free or choose Standard for its additional scale and controls. For example, Standard for 10 active employees is £20 per month, or £200 per year when annual billing is available.
A person counts when their HollyHR profile is marked Active. Profiles that have been made inactive, including leavers whose profile status has been updated, do not count towards Free eligibility or Standard billing.
Eligible Free organisations can use one 30-day Standard trial without a card. When it ends, Standard access ends automatically, your data remains in HollyHR and Free plan limits apply. You can export your organisation data or upgrade to Standard.
Yes. Cancel through billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and paid access continues until then. Your records are retained and organisation export remains available; Free eligibility still depends on the Free plan limits.
The displayed prices are business prices before applicable taxes. HollyHR calculates and shows the applicable tax during checkout using the billing details you provide.
Standard support cases are handled ahead of ordinary Free product-help cases, after urgent security, privacy and availability incidents. HollyHR targets the first human response within 1 UK business day during 09:00-17:00 Europe/London, Monday to Friday excluding England and Wales bank holidays. This is not a resolution deadline or 24/7 SLA.
No. Plus is a planned £3-per-active-employee tier for workforce modules, beginning with rota and time tracking. It is not available to buy today and is not included in HollyHR's live pricing offers.
